Salesforce Certified CPQ Specialist Practice

In Salesforce CPQ, the distinction between List Price and Regular Price is crucial for accurately calculating and managing pricing for products. The List Price is defined as the base price of a product taken directly from the Price Book. This value represents the starting point for any pricing adjustments that may need to occur during the sales process.

On the other hand, the Regular Price comes into play after various pricing adjustments such as discounts, promotions, or pricing rules have been applied. It reflects the final price that a customer will pay, taking into account any modifications resulting from these adjustments.

This distinction allows sales representatives to clearly understand the original pricing structure and how it changes based on circumstances like sales strategies or client negotiations. Recognizing this difference ensures that pricing is managed effectively, fostering better customer relationships through transparent pricing practices.
